Adobe is set to ‘Flash’ as an App Builder and Embraces HTML5, the Flash Mobile Killer . . . you can’t play Flash content on an iPhone or iPad?! Well, you can cross that argument off the mobile decision list. As we predicted back in early October: Adobe Kills Flash. According to a scoop last night on ZDNet, Adobe has announced that they are stopping development on Flash Player for mobile browsers. ”Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores. We will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations.” Adobe is, in fact, finally heeding Steve Jobs’ advice. In a public letter – below – about Flash last year, Jobs said, “Even if iPhones, iPods and iPads ran Flash, it would not solve the problem that most Flash websites need to be rewritten to support touch-based devices. New open standards created in the mobile era, such as HTML5, will win on mobile devices (and PCs too). Perhaps Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind” M★S READ MORE

Update on the UPDATE of the APPLE TV UPDATE!?
Let me make this clear – it seems to have been slightly grey in previous posts – APPLE WILL PRODUCE A TELEVISION! It won’t be TV as we know it, IT WILL BE a new generation iMAC based überclever IPS panel Television! After all, Google already has a smart TV and everyone who’s anyone knows, Apple is way smarter than Google! Highpants has been trumpeting the possibility of an Apple-made TV set since the start of 2011, so far we’ve been wrong everytime, we think. Apple is inevitably going to launch into the Television market, when is clearly the 6 billion dollar question. The Apples ethos has always been to ADD gadgets to our lives, so it’s a No Shit Sherlock Moment when some fool stands up and says APPLE TELEVISION!. In the latest round of rumours – kicked off by 60 Minutes, watched by Hayley Tsukayama at the Washington Post and befuddled by the Wall Street Journal’s Mark Gongloff – experts are finally admitting to reading more than their own write-ups [don’t even get us started on the foulness of the Huff Post!] in the form of Walter Isaacson’s new Steve Jobs biography, out of all of this there are NO more concrete facts about Apple TV. We do hope Mr Isaacson sells a bucket load of books, reading is something we really like to push! After all, each hour of Television you watch cuts 22 minutes from your lifespan? M★C READ MORE

For the past 9 days we’ve been wondering how to express that enormous loss that was Steve Jobs Death. Words simply haven’t seemed adequate, the web has gone completely mad for a Jobs tribute. initially we simply posted our favorite Jobs quote “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered” For about a week, that quote seemed adequate. We seem however to have developed a little tribute envy . . .
This was thrown our way by Cult of Mac, it seems appropriate, it’s got a few things that make it NSFW! – mainly rapper Supreme General, who wrote and performs the song in various states of undress, with obligatory crotch grabbing and too many obscenities to count.
But it’s got that awesome copyright-disputed silhouette of Steve in the opening. Supreme General does regale us with a shot of himself brandishing an iPhone. So there’s that. And the pertinent tribute lines are at the very end: “That’s why it never bothers me when niggas copy all my moves…. My competition’s hollow, my products set the standards for the rest of y’all to follow. Steve Jobs.” We reckon the Preme is talking rubbish, the tune sounds to be written in complete narcissism, you figure it out :: CHECK THE YOUTUBE VIDEO HERE

Speculation on Apple CEO Steve Jobs resignation and the markets perceived pressure on incoming CEO Tim Cooks performance was rife a couple of weeks week ago, many analysts speculated that following the change at the top, we would see a marked differences in the way Apple made decisions, that Cook would need to stamp his mark quickly. A yet to be confirmed rumor indicates that Apple’s new CEO Mr Cook has left the gates running, the interweb is buzzing with the news that Apple has put in an offer to buy Dropbox for $800 million, unfortunately for Mr Cook the rapidly growing startup has declined that offer, ouch. Dropbox is a web based file hosting service which utilizes cloud computing, Dropbox allows its users to not only store but to share their files and folders! M★S READ MORE
