Google has joined with Delaware boutique brewer, Dogfish Head to produce a Belgian Dubbel styled beer, URKontinent. Our favorite search behemoth even brought a list of recommended ingredients to the blending table, including its own honey, pulled from its Californian beehives. This unlikely partnership has culminated in a hearty brew just in time for what looks to be a steaming hot U.S. summer. Named after the original super-continent, the collaboration conveniently exploited a broad swath of Google’s international employees, the Dogfish Head-Google brew team surveyed thousands of Google’s employees around the world, quizzing and poking at what they’d like to see in a beer. A smaller – executive, no doubt – team from Google then worked closely with Dogfish brewmiesters to refine the concept for the beer, create the recipe, track down the assortment of obscure ingredients they had settled on and ultimately brew it. So it’s Monday morning, a week seems like a year sitting where we are right now. Just think what you can do with a year, well a bloke named Justin Farrell did just that. the he promptly picked up his Canon 5D and started documenting what most of us wish we could watch pass by. We must warn you, this is kind of inspiring: Get out of your office chair, kind of inspiring. It would be rude to leave out Farrell’s word. For the boffins that need to know; Every clip is a RAW image sequence (5616 x 3744) that I rendered out as a 1080P 23.976fps Quick Time movie. The motion control is achieved using servo motors. ”A year’s compilation of my time lapse work. All shot on the Canon 5D2 and processed in Adobe After Effects. The majority of the shots are in my beautiful home state of Arizona. Goblin Valley State Park and Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah also make an appearance. M★S CHECK THE VIDEO : HERE

Peugeot, hmmm, they’ve always made a decent enough Looking automobile, a little lacking perhaps on the reliability front – Peugoet Drivers Be Quiet, servicing your car EVERY month isn’t normal – aside from that little nugget, if don’t fit into a slimline blue pencil skirt or loafers and cardigans, they’ve never really been inspiring. Adding to that image, Peugeot has released pix of it’s latest concept, the VeLV. In fairness to Peugeot, it looks like their partners, Citreon may have had a heavy hand in designing this commuter. VeLV is a French acronym that translates to City Light Electric Vehicle – the PSA concept debuted at a Paris innovation forum where the company said its baby would be aimed at corporate fleets, rental companies, car-sharing schemes and private buyers who fancy a second car or just a round-town runabout. Quantum Mechanics: aka Quantum Physics aka Quantum Theory, is a branch of physics that provides a mathematical description of the Wave -particle Duality of Matter and Energy. The theory was developed in 1925 by Werner Heisenberg. Quantum mechanics describes the time evolution of physical systems via a mathematical structure called the wave function. The wave function encapsulates the probability that the system is to be found in a given state at a given time. Quantum mechanics also allows one to calculate the effect on the system of making measurements of properties of the system by defining the effect of those measurements on the wave function. This leads to the well-known uncertainty principle as well as the enduring debate over the role of the experimenter, epitomised in the Schrödinger’s Cat thought experiment. Fundamentally, it attempts to explain the peculiar behaviour of matter and energy at the subatomic level. Historically, the earliest versions of quantum mechanics were formulated in the first decade of the 20th Century, around the time that atomic theory and the corpuscular theory of light as interpreted by Einstein first came to be widely accepted as scientific fact; these later theories can be viewed as quantum theories of matter and electromagnetic radiation. Quantum mechanics differs significantly from classical mechanics in its predictions when the scale of observations becomes comparable to the atomic and sub-atomic scale, the so-called quantum realm. However, many macroscopic properties of systems can only be fully understood and explained with the use of quantum mechanics. Phenomena such as superconductivity, the properties of materials such as semiconductors and nuclear and chemical reaction mechanisms observed as macroscopic behavior, cannot be explained using classical mechanics. The term was coined by Max Planck, and derives from the observation that some physical quantities can be changed only by discrete amounts, or quanta, as multiples of the Planck constant, rather than being capable of varying continuously or by any arbitrary amount. For example, the angular momentum – or more generally the action – of an electron bound into an atom or molecule is quantized. Although an unbound electron does not exhibit quantized energy levels, one which is bound in an atomic orbital has quantized values of angular momentum. In the context of quantum mechanics, the wave–particle duality of energy and matter and the uncertainty principle provide a unified view of the behavior of photons. [Quantization is the procedure of constraining something from a relatively large or continuous set of values - such as the real numbers - to a relatively small discrete set such as the integers] READ MORE

Seems our favorite Porn Star is back in the news. Having lived through a life filled with the normal angst, politics, celebrity, porn, marriage to Jeff Koons, divorce from Jeff Koons and on and on. Cicciolina aka Anna Elena Staller aka Ilona Staller, has once again hit the headlines. Back up to 1987: Staller was elected to the Italian Parliament, her election caused much hooplah at the time and seriously aided her show business career. Staller only served one term – 5 years – as a politician, then was promptly ditched by her constituents. So having lived what can only be described as a full life, the starlet – now 59 – has hit retirement age. Inline with what is common practice universally, Staller has become eligable for the pension. The hooplah it seems is over the Italian Government handing over a $70,000 [pa] pension to our Hungarian born honey! M★S READ MORE

UPDATED: Just like a the plot of a soft porn flick, she plays up to overtly specific fantasies, soft soft spoken words of assurance and a sigh that subtly follows heart felt words. You might think this is pure fiction. In this Internet sourced world of nothing being real this one is so so real. As The Naked Therapist - now known as Sarah White Therapy, Sarah White offers one on one therapy sessions while she slowly strips till she’s in the buff. The whole session is conducted via web cam and while she’s is based in New York her service is available to everyone with a broadband connection. White has also extended her practice to include 3 new team members At around $200 a session (1 hour) White describes her therapy as “. . .a form of talk therapy in which the therapist and/or the patient get naked in an environment in which arousal – physical, emotional and intellectual – is encouraged and utilized to arrive at unique self-discoveries BOOK ME IN!
