In Australia it’s a rarity to require a good reason to ditch a once-loved-hero!  Over the past 18 months Julian Assange has been our pinup boy for freedom, taking the powers that be to task, keeping the bastards honest blah blah. Oh how the mighty fall ! !

In a true THEY SAID WHAT? moment, the WikiLeaks founder denounced – with much vitriol – a new unauthorised autobiography after he failed to prevent the publisher printing an unfinished manuscript. 

Titled Julian Assange:The Unauthorised Autobiography, the book is the result of more than 50 hours of interviews between Assange and a ghost writer. 

The transcripts were handed over to British publisher Canongate in March. Assange says he asked for more time to finish the book, but Canongate says that after reading the first draft Mr Assange declared that “all memoir is prostitution” and withdrew his support. 

Canongate has admitted Assange had attempted to stop the publication but said it was proud to publish the “passionate, provocative and opinionated” book ::  Read the full article »»»»
