Sunday mornings always remind me of a bustling home, children waking way too early, a day building toward relaxed pandemonium, I want to sleep in. That was a hundred years ago.
My children have all left home, I’m single, I now have the luxury of spoiling whoever is laid out next to me in my Sunday morning bed.
Nothing is better than the smell of fresh pastry filling the house, this might take 2 or 3 cups of coffee to work up to, it’s well worth the mix of aromas though.

Horrific video footage has once again emerged – from Afghanistan – this time showing a 22 year-old woman being executed in front of a crowd of cheering Afghani men.
In the three-minute video, a man approaches the woman – who is knelt in the dirt – and shoots her five times at close range with an automatic rifle to cheers of jubilation from the 100 or so people watching in a village.
Local officials say the woman was married to a senior member of a hardline Taliban militant group and was accused of adultery with another Taliban commander, either through a romantic relationship, or rape.
